Wine, Women, Well-Being Comes to Fort McMurray

A new chapter of Wine, Women, Well-Being has come to Fort McMurray. This group will bring women together with monthly events and workshops. There are currently 30 branches across Canada.

“Now more than ever we crave an environment for women to bond, grow and form meaningful relationshisp,” Fort McMurray Branch Director Anita Parker says. “Our aim is to create a space for women to meet regularly to inspire, encourage and grow. Creating support and connection is our number one goal!”

The first local event happened at The Smokin’ Butcher on November 23rd. It featured networking, door prizes and a panel discussion featuring Exhale Yoga & Barre owner Helen Killorn, Business mentor and Love Powered Co. owner Staci Millard, and Krystal Appleby, who owns Soluna Collective.

Parker has always enjoyed being of service to others, contributing time and energy to local non-profit organizations. She said that while attending a Wine, Women, Well-Being event in another city,  she felt a need for women in Fort McMurray to also experience it. She witnessed women of all walks of life coming together in the most genuine way possible.

“The hope and vision was clear: create a safe space for women to come together, connect, create community, be seen and heard and most importantly to be united and not divided,” says Parker.
