Corey Cyr has spent the past 16 years in Fort McMurray, arriving from Parksville, BC, for work and discovering a region full of potential. Over the years, he has become a fixture in the community, not only through his work as a real estate broker and home flipper but also through his dedication to local volunteer efforts. “Fort McMurray has provided me with opportunities I likely wouldn’t have had anywhere else,” he says, reflecting on what has motivated him to give back. “I am grateful for that and try to give back to the community whenever I can.”

As the Broker and Owner of The Agency North Central Alberta, Corey finds the most rewarding aspect of his career in helping people find or create spaces where they can build their lives. He serves on the board of the Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Society, supporting a cause close to his heart as a passionate dog lover. He’s also been a “snow angel” in the past, helping residents clear snow during Fort McMurray’s harsh winters.
