Jenna Hamilton and Austin Giles

Jenna Hamilton and Austin Giles are one of this year’s official Power Duos. She says she’s the funny one in the relationship, and he says he’s most grateful for Jenna putting up with him.

Together they sat down with YMM and talked about the successes and challenges of life, as well as the motivations.

YMM: Jenna, what accomplishment are you most proud of?

JH:

The accomplishment I am most proud of is being part of the Team Award that Country 93.3 & 97.9 ROCK won for our reporting during the wildfire and evacuation.

YMM: What’s the biggest challenge you’ve taken on this year?

AG:

My biggest challenge, like many, has been COVID-19 and managing a team of salespeople (at North Star Ford Lincoln) and how to offer a safe environment where they can thrive. Also, trying to get to gold in league of legends.

YMM: Who are your heroes?

JH:

My hero is my mother. She is kind and patient, yet strong and independent. She handles every challenge life throws at her with ease. If I am half the woman she is I will be happy.

YMM: Jenna, how should success be measured?

JH:

I think success looks different for everyone and changes daily.  As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, success for me somedays is just getting out of bed and putting the dishes away. Better days success may be accolades from work. Success should be measured in terms of your own happiness, not one size fits all.

YMM: What motivates you, Austin?

AG:

The family I am building with Jenna. Ensuring that we can provide for them in the best way possible.

YMM: Jenna, what’s the best advice that you ever received?

JH:

Fool me once, strike one. Fool me twice, strike three.
