YMM: What keeps you in Fort McMurray?
LH: The opportunities this community has given us are worth staying. Some of our closest friends still reside here in YMM. Also, we both have family here, so that makes it hard not to stay!
YMM: What does community mean to you?
LH: This community means home. I’ve been lucky to grow up in this city and see so many changes, but the people here are like no other…so kind, caring and giving. You feel a true sense of community everywhere, from my work life to being at activities with the kids or enjoying an event within YMM. This is home.
YMM: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
LH: Professionally, being able to be a top-producing agent within my office. Personally, being able to raise a family and still live a great life. The busy days don’t feel like a compromise for my accomplishments.
YMM: Describe your perfect day in YMM.
LH: Early morning coffee on the patio, taking in the sunrise, and then anything outdoors. We love riding bikes in the Birchwood Trail system; it’s just simply beautiful and good for your soul.
YMM: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
LH: Starting my career in Real Estate after helping run a family business for nearly 12 years. I went from a comfortable career to the unknown.
YMM: What is one thing you could improve on?
LH: Self-improvement is always on my to-do list. Always growing and changing, I hope for the better. I’m simply trying to be the change I want to see in the world.
